Chiring Kesang Sherpa of Reliance International Academy has become the main winner of the fifth edition of 'Colgate Nepal Spell Bee'.

Nearly 900,000 students from 209 colleges across the country participated in the

program. Out of which Sherpa from Reliance International Academy in Chavhil, Kathmandu became the winner.

Similarly, Utsav Ghimire of Gorkha International Secondary School in Dang became the first runner-up, while Ressam of Capital College and Research Center Kathmandu became the second runner-up.

This program on the spelling and pronunciation of English words was designed to increase the vocabulary of secondary level students.

The winner will get Rs 3 lakh, the first runner up will get Rs 2 lakh and the second runner up will get Rs 1 lakh and They will be able to study the subject of their choice in the scholarship till graduation. The

program used to be broadcast on Kantipur Television every Wednesday from 9 pm to 10 pm. Secondary level students of the

program The students participating in the program have been selected through auditions from different 35 cities across Nepal. According to

organizer Mahesh Pokharel, students from both government and private schools participated. The main sponsor of the program is Colgate Nepal and the organizer said that more than 80,000 people were given dental checkups during the audition.

Nepal Spell B is the first spelling competition conducted at the national level. Since the English language has become essential for the next generation, the production side of the program has informed that the goal of this program is to improve English words, sentences and language and to increase vocabulary.
