The lock imposed by a partial professor at Nepal Sanskrit University was opened on Friday. The professors had indefinitely locked the central office of the university at Belzhundi from June 31, keeping their professional demands.

After three days of serious discussions with the negotiation committee formed by the university, it was agreed to form a study committee to address the demand. Based on the report presented by the committee, the part-time professor struggle committee has informed that the lock has been opened after agreeing to proceed with the contract process for part-time professors. Chairman of the committee Navraj Dhungana and secretary Sher Bahadur Bhat issued a press release on Friday and informed about the opening of the lock.

The lock imposed by various student organizations for three months is yet to be opened. Yogaraj Sharma, the principal of Janata Vidyapeeth Bijauri, said that negotiations are being held with the student organizations and preparations are being made to open all the locks within a week.

After not opening the lock for three months, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhim Prasad Khatiwada issued a written public call on Wednesday and asked the concerned agencies to create an environment for opening the locks. He called upon all concerned parties, including students, professors and employees' joint organizations, Swaviyu, to be sensitive to the fact that the central office of the university at Beljhundi and the administrative body have been locked for three months.

Due to the lockdown, Khatiwada said that the committee formed by the Council of Ministers on June 20 to manage hundreds of bighas of the university's land could not work. He said that the committee has not been able to study the records of the university related to the land and due to the shutdown, the important work of land management, which is important to the government, has been stalled.

Parents, Sanskrit education lovers, land donors, political parties, government bodies, local governments, national servants, businessmen, journalists, etc., who played a role in the establishment of the university, urged for constant inspiration, suggestions and monitoring in the university.
