Minister of Education, Science and Technology Vidya Bhattarai has directed to create a new curriculum by linking it with technology as an indicator of literacy.

On the occasion of the 58th International Literacy Day on Sunday, Minister Bhattarai, in a program organized at the Education and Human Resource Development Center in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, emphasized that education without literacy and development without education is not possible and that all efforts should be made to develop it in a timely manner.

'The efforts of the government alone will not eradicate illiteracy, the government works with the participation and cooperation of all stakeholders. The government is committed to providing opportunities to learn in one's own mother tongue, for that it is necessary to create and implement the necessary policies,' she said.

Minister Bhattarai honored six women's schools that educate adult women up to class 10. Astha Women's School in Bhaktapur, Gyanjyoti Women's School in Kathmandu Chabahil, Utprerena Women's School in Tinkune, Sample Women's School in Nayabazar and Sadhana Women's School in Butbal will be honored.

Likewise, the center has honored 43-year-old Dilmaya Tamang, who passed SEE from Gyanjyoti Women's School and is studying for a master's degree in journalism. In the program, Education Secretary Dr. Deepak Kafle, National Examination Board Chairman Dr. Mahashram Sharma, Acting Director General of Education and Human Resource Development Center Jairam Officers and others gave their best wishes.
