As the light went down, a howler monkey appeared on the stage. The atmosphere changed to dancing when the instrumentalist, who was on the side of the stage, started playing Madal and guitar. On the stage, the monkey and the man sing a question and answer in a duet style and start dancing gracefully.

After the forest monkeys entered the village and started destroying the crops, it has not become a headache for most of the villagers in recent times. The drama 'Kancho Dhago', which contains the story of a village in Gandak region and the family of a Lahureni Manmaya, tries to weave human and non-human relationships. Manmaya, who married inter-caste Lahure Dilu, is now living in an old house with an old body in the latter part of her life. After her husband passed away in Paltan, she could not leave the village, nor did she agree to go abroad with her son and grandson. In particular, as much as he loves his family, he has the same love for the old house he built with his own hands. The younger son is in America with his family, the elder son is also in the city, he has only the elder daughter-in-law to take care of him, but he is also busy with his own job.

Manmaya, who is about to reach the age of 84, has now started to collapse due to an involuntary fall. In the occasional video call, the children have to be satisfied by looking at them. After all the family has left the village and entered the city, there are now a lot of monkeys who have left the forest and entered the village. The rural municipality is distributing guns to villagers with a plan to kill monkeys. But Manmaya is in love with one of those monkeys. The monkey, which has become a terror for the villagers, has become a companion for Manmaya Lahureni to remove her loneliness and remind her of her past youth. Manmaya finds a glimpse of her heavenly husband in that one monkey.

The drama 'Kancho Dhago', directed by Ashant Sharma, tries to address the letters of the relationship in the writing of Mukti. The drama has tried to weave the threads of relationship between husband and wife, relationship between mother and children, relationship between village and city, between man and monkey. Even more than that, the play 'Kancho Dhago' is a story of loneliness, waiting for children and little hope of reunion. Ayushma Magar in the role of Manmaya and Lahure and the author himself in the role of Bandar, while Sagar Dahal, Nishan Khatri, Rasik Raj, Samrat Bhujel, Nishta Tripathi, Poornima Acharya, Meera Khadka, Kabir Kafka, Krish Rai can also be seen in the acting. Katha Ghera's 'Kancho Dhago', which is being staged at Kausi Theater in Teku, Kathmandu, will run till August 29.
