On Monday, the Russian army attacked several cities, including Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. At least 3 people were killed in missile and drone attacks, according to the BBC.
After the latest attack, locals have started staying in the underground metro stations of Kyiv to stay safe . Russia has attacked dozens of cities in 15 regions along with the Ukrainian capital Kiev. It is said that electricity and water supply has been stopped in some of these cities. BBC reports that Russian drones have specifically targeted Ukrainian energy infrastructure. 
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia has targeted various cities across the country with drone attacks. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russian drones are attacking from Vinnytsia, Poltava and Mykolayim regions around Ukraine.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Samihal said that drones, Truj missiles and Kinzhal missiles were used in the Russian attack. "Ukraine's energy infrastructure has become the main target of Russian attacks," wrote Samihal on the messaging platform Telegram. 
Ukraine attacked Russia's Kursk region on August 6. In the attack, Ukraine claimed to have controlled an area of at least 1,000 square kilometers. It is reported that tens of thousands of Russian citizens have been displaced due to the attacks by Ukraine in the past few weeks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that action was taken in the Kursk region to take control of the Russian army. After the attack, the two countries exchanged 115 prisoners on Saturday.
