Russia's Ekatorina Zhuvyagintseva is going to play for Vatsalya Everest Women's Volleyball League from Gandaki Thunders. Gandaki signed him as their third foreign player.
Ekatorina is a familiar face in Russia's domestic league. She has played domestic tournaments in Russia and Mongolia. He said that it is a matter of happiness for him to come to Nepal to play volleyball, the club said in a statement. Ekatorina has played in the U-20 Russian League for two seasons in 2017 and 2018. He played Mongolian Premier League in 2023-24.
Gandaki had earlier signed India's Shilpa Sindhu and Russia's Alyssa Rubik. Gandaki has set a goal of signing one more player.
After signing the third foreign player, the manager of the team, Bikas Khaitan, said that Gandaki is stronger when there are three foreign players in the team.
