President Ramchandra Paudel said that there is a lot of potential for adventure sports in Nepal and has called for a message to be sent to the international world in this regard.

Welcoming the sports journalists and officials who came to Kathmandu from various countries to participate in the Asian Sports Journalists' Federation (AIPS Asia) Congress at Rashtrapati Bhavan Shitalniwas, President Paudel called upon Nepal to promote Nepal in the world sports arena as it is a fertile country for sports and athletes.

President Paudel said, 'There is a lot of potential for adventure and high altitude sports, ultra running in Nepal. Nepalese athletes have written their names in the Guinness Book of Everest Marathon.' In the recently held Para Olympics in Paris, Palesha Govardhan said that by winning a medal in Taekwondo, she has increased the dignity of the country.

President Paudel said that it is necessary to spread the message to the world community that Nepal is not only the birthplace of Everest and Buddha, but also a sports field. He praised AIPS Asia for establishing a good tradition by continuously honoring the best players of the nation.
