Bagmati Pradesh Chief Minister Bahadur Sin Lama has said that it is necessary to invest in the sports sector. Inaugurating the sports hall built at the Kavre Multipurpose Campus in Banepa, Kavre on Saturday, Chief Minister Lama said that there is not much investment in the field of sports and there is a need to invest in this sector.
Stating that the sports hall built in the campus is believed to produce more athletes in the city, he said, 'It is seen that there is a need to develop more in the field of sports, for which the provincial government will provide necessary support.' He also asked them to participate in sports activities from an early age. In the program, Kanchan Chandra Bade, a member of the Bagmati Province Assembly, said that the development of this type of sports developed in collaboration with the municipality and the campus will give more encouragement to the players.
Shanti Ratna Shakya, the head of Banepa Municipality, informed that the sports hall was built in Caps with the help of around 40 lakhs from Banepa Municipality. Stating that the municipality has been doing various activities for the development of sports, he said, 'The city is planning to build a playground for various sports such as badminton, basketball and karate Sapkota said that a lot of development is yet to be done in the infrastructure sector for the games.
