8 arrested for gambling in Darchula

The police have arrested 8 people who were playing gambling in a house in Khalanga Bazar, Darchula headquarters. According to the police, they were arrested on Sunday evening from Vidyanagar village located in Mahakali Municipality-4.
According to District Police Office Darchula, those arrested are Janak Thekere of Naugad Rural Municipality-1, Dipendra Karki of Duhu Rural Municipality-2, Padam Karki, Sagar Singh Thagunna of Naugad Rural Municipality-1, Sher Singh Mahata, Niraj Dhami of Malikarjun Rural Municipality-3, Marma Rural Municipality-6. Vikramsingh Dhami and Gobind Dhanuk of Mahakali Municipality-4.
Police Inspector of District Police Office Darchula Chhatra Bahadur Rawat said that the police raided Gobind Dhanuk's house while he was playing gambling. 93 thousand 220 rupees in cash was also recovered from them. According to the police, all those arrested have been kept in the district police office, Darchula, and legal action has been taken forward.
