The budget of the Far West government will be released on Monday

The Chief Minister made it clear that since the policy program of the budget has been passed by the House earlier, he is going to bring the revised budget based on the same policy program.

With the change in the power equation, after the Nepal Communist Party (UML) withdrew its support to the government, the then Chief Minister Dilig Bahadur Sodari-led government presented the budget for the current financial year 2081/82 in the Provincial Assembly on June 1, 2081/82. Chief Minister Shah informed that the current government is going to bring the budget by modifying the same budget.

Since the budget was not passed, the government's essential work including revenue collection and expenditure has been stopped since July 1. Even though the new government led by Shah has implemented revenue collection through ordinances, the situation of budget vacuum has not yet disappeared.

Since the provincial government has no budget, there has been a problem in the payment of employees' salaries, allowances, operating expenses, etc. for two months. According to the equation made at the center, a new government was formed on July 22 under the leadership of Congress leader Shah.

The then Sodari-led government submitted a budget of Rs 31 billion 329 million to the state assembly for the current year. Out of this, Rs 11.7 billion 19 million was allocated for current and Rs 17.53 billion 8 million for capital. The current government has prepared to bring a budget of Rs 30 billion.
