Far West Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has received the vote of confidence. Chief Minister Shah took the vote of confidence from the state assembly meeting on Wednesday.

36 votes were cast in favor of the vote of confidence held by Chief Minister Shah. 27 votes are enough to get a vote of confidence in the 53-member state assembly. 45 people were present in the provincial assembly meeting.

Shah, who was appointed Chief Minister on July 20th 10 days ago, got 36 votes including 18 from Nepali Congress, 11 from CPN UML and 7 from Civil Immunity.

has 8 votes against. 4 votes of the United Socialist Party and 4 votes of the Maoists were opposed. 6 out of 10 Maoist MPs were absent. Similarly, the RPP was absent and the vote of the independent MP was neutral.
