A blood donation program has been organized on Saturday at Khaptad, a historical tourist spot. The Nepal Volunteer Blood Donor Society has organized a blood donation program in Khaptad for the first time.
Premsagar Karmacharya, central president of the society and centenary blood donor, said that the event was organized in Khaptad to convey the message that healthy people can donate blood at any place.
In Khaptad, 4 people donated blood for the first time in Nepal at a height of 3200 meters. Central members of the society, Govind Wagle, Prem Lamsal and Bimal Indharkoti and former mayor of Shikhar municipality, Sitaram Jishi, donated blood in the program. Narent Bahadur Singh, Chairman of Congress Doti of the
program, said that by organizing a holy program like blood donation in the historical Khaptad area, it will help in the promotion of tourism in Far West.
