The landslide swept away the poles, the people of Rukum East were in the dark for four days

Two thousand five hundred customers of Nepal Electricity Authority have been deprived of electricity service. Due to the Ranikot landslide, four poles belonging to the 11 kVA central transmission line brought from Dhairenichaur substation in Rukum West to Rukum East fell.

'Our team is in Ranikot, the road is not open and there are continuous landslides due to rain. That's why we have a problem in operating the electricity service, the electricity service will also come into operation with the opening of the road", said Pramod Khanal, Head of Electricity Authority Rukumkot Distribution Center.

At present, the customers who have connected the lines of the authority in the three municipalities of the district are forced to live in the dark. The Electricity Authority has been speeding up the expansion of electricity services flowing from the Electricity Authority in Sisne Rural Municipality, Bhumey Rural Municipality and Puthauttarganga Rural Municipality.

There has been a problem in working in the government offices since the electricity service has been interrupted for four days due to the fall of the pole due to the landslide. Likewise, people's lives have been affected due to the lack of electricity. There is a problem in doing other things including charging the mobile phone.
