The Rapti Lokmarg and Madhyapahari highway connecting Rukum East and West with the main highway and the city are risky during the rainy season.
Comparatively, Madhyapahari Highway is more risky than Rapti Lokmarg.
Navin Kharel, Engineer of Madhyapahari Highway Project Office Dailekh informed that under this road which is in the final stage of construction, landslides will fall from above in dozens of places in Rukum east-west section, the road will be washed away and traffic will be blocked due to the rise of mud.

Prazia Madhav Prasad Sharma said that while traveling on this section of the Madhyapahari highway, it is requested to pay attention to safety and not to travel unless it is essential. In addition, he also requested everyone concerned to be aware of their respective places for the safety of vehicles and passengers.
Out of the total 1,765 kilometers of Madhyapahari highway under the project of National Pride, Rukum is located in Rukum with 55 kilometers in the east and 70 kilometers in the west.
