Installation of 'Walkthrough' machine at Belhia crossing in Rupandehi

On the initiative of District Administration Office Rupandehi, such a machine has been placed at the border crossing for the first time in the country. For a long time, the Indian side has been installing such a machine on its side and checking citizens leaving Nepal.

The Siddharthnagar municipality provided financial support for the installation of the machine. Home Secretary Eknarayan Aryal launched the machine on Wednesday.

For a long time, the tourism and industrialists of the district have been demanding that the border should be arranged . Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal started the initiative to install the machine after the demand of businessmen. Home Secretary Aryal said that such equipment will contribute significantly to maintaining the peace and security of the country. "The effort made to organize and secure the border area under the leadership of the chief district officer is admirable," Aryal said, "it has become an example that positive and long-term work can be done if everyone cooperates." He said that all necessary work and support will be provided. "We are working with special attention on the peace and security of the country along with the security of the citizen's life", said the Home Secretary, "for this, all the mechanisms are working round the clock."

Rupandehi Chief District Officer (PRA) Aryal said that work walkthrough machine has been installed as an effort to manage the checkpoint. "When going to India, they are checked one by one through the walk-through machine and then they are given entry," he said, "most of them don't even have a normal check when they go to NEC." So now we have installed a walk-through machine so that every person who comes to Nepal should undergo a security check.

According to Prazia Aryal, this walk-through machine made in China is state-of-the-art. According to him, it does not detect daily use items. "However, it detects drugs, explosives, gold and silver", he said, "It is expected to strengthen the security and prevent the entry of illegal goods." Janak Thapa, the chief administrative officer of the municipality, said that since security is an important issue, the municipality accepted the administration's request and supported the purchase of the machine.
