The Lamjung section of the only Bensihar-Chame road connecting Lamjung-Manang has been blocked due to a landslide in Syange. Local Meg Gurung said that the landslide occurred on the slope built last year in Marsyangdi rural municipality 4, Syange.
A landslide with large stones has fallen in Sayange, which is about 22 km from Bensi Sahar.
On the way from Bensi Sahar to Manang, a landslide occurred on the road of Pari Syange after the cutting of Wari Syange. Ward Chairman Bal Bahadur Gurung informed that a landslide with stones fell and blocked the road. According to him, vehicles have not been able to cross since Monday morning after the road was blocked. District Police Office Lamjung Police Inspector Meghnath Chapagain said that the news was received that the road was blocked in Syange and the police had been deployed to clear the road.
Bensi Sahar-Chame road is currently in operation up to Dankyu, Nason rural municipality 9 of Lower Manang. The road from Dankyu to reach Manang Ngisyang Rural Municipality including the headquarter Chame has been closed for 2 weeks.
Chame Rural Municipality 1, Timang Khola 2 places, the road is blocked after the flood swept away the bridge. According to the police, Bensi Sahar-Dumre road is in operation.
