The Chief Minister of Wagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama (Tamang) has said that the role of parents is important to improve the quality of education.

He said that in order to make education quality and result-oriented, parents should also be concerned about monitoring their children and school lessons.

Speaking at a program held in Hetaunda on Wednesday on the occasion of National Education Day, Chief Minister Lama said that since the first educational institution of children is the home, the family environment, care, supervision and behavior of parents have a significant impact on their schooling. He argued that the quality of the education sector can be improved only through the coordination of teachers, parents and students.

Stating that education plays an important role in building good citizens, Chief Minister Lama said, "The government is serious about improving the quality of community schools." He said that it is necessary to make education research-based and practical. Chief Minister Lama said that the provincial government is committed to maintaining the quality of education and improving the condition of public schools by timely amending the irrelevant laws and regulations. In the

program, Social Development Minister Hariprabha Khadgi informed that the state government will increase investment in improving the condition of community schools. He argued that reform of the education sector is not possible only with the initiative of the government, so all concerned bodies should be serious.

On the occasion of Education Day, 10 schools of the province have been awarded. On the occasion of the day, 5 community and 5 institutional schools were awarded with cash. Megha Secondary School Tekhapukhu Bhaktapur, Balambu Secondary School Chandagiri Municipality Kathmandu, Prithvi Secondary School Vidur-4 Nuwakot, Tarun Secondary School Balaju Kathmandu and Shram National Secondary School Kumarigal Kathmandu selected by the Directorate of Education Development Wagmati Province are the best.

Similarly, Whiz Kids International School Baluwatar Kathmandu, Reliance International Academy Budhanilkanth Kathmandu, Gokarneshwar Light Academy Gokarneshwar Kathmandu, Shankari School Cantonment Kathmandu and Mount Glory English Boarding High School were the best.
