A full-size statue of the founder leader of Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister VP Koirala has been constructed in Dhulikhel under the VP highway. Neta Koirala's salik was built at Jarandanda in Dhulikhel Municipality-6, which is the starting point of the VP highway.
In the said year, a program has been decided to be unveiled by Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on October 5th.
The Congress District Working Committee held a press conference on Wednesday and gave information about the salik construction and unveiling program. The foundation stone laid in 2071 Tirtha Lama, president of Congress Kavre, said that after 9 years of construction, the statue is about to be unveiled.
Jitkrishna Dhinanju Shrestha, the coordinator of the Pratima Nirman Samiti, informed that the statue was built at a cost of 15 lakh rupees.
