State government helps Raithane crop protection and operation of hot market: Minister Shrestha

Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister of Bagmati Province, Prakash Shrestha, has said that the provincial government will help Raithane to conduct crop protection and municipal-level haat markets.
Minister Shrestha while addressing the review of the fiscal year 2080/81 and the annual program of 2081/82 jointly conducted by the District Agricultural Development Office, Horticulture Development Center Panchkhal and Animal Services Office at Dhulikhel in Kavre on Monday said that the province is preparing a new program for Raithane crop protection. ;
He said that there is a lot of propaganda about Raithane crop protection, but in reality, it has been found that there is no protection program. According to him, the government is not interested in this matter. He said that the provincial government is planning a different and new type of program to protect Raithane crops in collaboration with all 119 municipalities of 13 districts of the province.
Similarly, Minister Shrestha said that the provincial government has planned to operate haat markets in all 119 municipalities of the province to help in the marketing of agricultural produce produced by farmers. According to him, considering the fact that real farmers are unable to get a good price for their agricultural produce due to the influence of middlemen, the provincial government has planned to conduct haat markets in all municipalities of the province.
