The building of Shree Primary School in Kolkhop, Bakaiya Rural Municipality-12 of East Makwanpur has been destroyed. The school building was destroyed when a landslide fell from above along with the incessant rain on Tuesday.

According to the district police office, two rooms of the building made of bricks, cement and zinc were destroyed by the landslide. According to the landslide, the furniture and files inside the room were completely damaged and the toilet attached to the building was also partially damaged.

Principal Niruta Choulagai said that after 2 rooms of the school building were completely damaged, the students who were studying in that classroom were kept in the 4th and 5th class rooms. ;

'Students are terrified because of the landslide. However, they came to study,' she said. There are 50 students studying in this school, which teaches from infant to 5th grade. Among them, 49 children of Tamang community are studying and one child is from Dalit community .
