A child died on Sunday after a microbus collided with him at Bhardah in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-1 of Saptari under the East-West Highway.
From Rajviraj to Biratnagar The microbus number 1-002-001J 3866 going to the province A 15-month-old Ardash Adhikari died in a collision in front of the Kankalini temple in Bhardah.
Pedestrian Bhardah resident-45-year-old Anitadevi Adhikari and her 15-month-old grandson Adarsh were seriously injured. Ardash died in Biratnagar during treatment.
Anitadevi's legs and other parts of her body were injured, while her grandson Adarsh, who was in her arms, was seriously injured on his head.
The accident was caused by the negligence of the fast-moving microbus driver and the locals demanded compensation They blocked the East-West highway by burning tires on the road since 8 am.
