Since Friday morning, locals have been protesting by burning tires on the Integrated Checkpoint (ICP) road located in Birganj Metropolitan City-17 Alao. Locals protested after 22-year-old Tinukumar Sah Turaha, who was seriously injured in a collision with a tanker on the same road on Thursday, died during treatment.

The protestors are demanding action against the tanker driver who hit them and compensation for the families of the deceased . Turaha, a motorcycle driver of No. 29 P 6951, was seriously injured when the tanker No. 6 B 7503 collided on Thursday around 3:30 pm.

Parsa police spokesperson Deepak Bharti said that he died during the treatment. The tanker and the driver have been detained by the police.

There was also a clash between locals and security personnel who blocked the road by burning tires in the morning. Due to the demonstration, the movement of vehicles has come to a standstill.
