Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality has banned the random posting of leaflets and pamphlets on street poles and walls. Placing pamphlets and hoarding boards has been banned for making the metropolis ugly.

Recently, different companies and colleges in Birgunj city have been pasting leaflets and pamphlets on the walls of electricity poles and buildings for advertisement, and the metropolis has claimed that the city has become undecorated.

Sanitation workers of the metropolis removed the leaflets and pamphlets stuck on the walls and electric poles of the buildings in different parts of the city and cleaned them on Tuesday. According to the Metropolitan Corporation, no person or organization will be allowed to put up leaflets, pamphlets and hoarding boards without permission. Sarfuddin Mian, head of the sanitation branch of the metropolis, said that action will be taken if it is violated.
