Meterbadge victims have complained that the government and the mechanism are not honest in implementing the law made to end the meterbadge problem.

The farmers' labor movement against meter-bias, formed by the unity of two struggle committees that have been struggling against the meter-bias problem, made this complaint at the Sirha district meeting held on Saturday in Golbazar, Nepal. They complained that it was difficult to get justice when the law was limited to paper. "After our struggle, the commission was made, the law was made, but everything is limited to the paper," said the spokesperson of the movement, Nirga Navin, "The government and the system are ruthless."

He warned that a meeting will soon be held with the Home Minister on this matter and even after that, if the behavior of the government is not right, he will start a strong struggle. "Political parties are the custodians of meter badges," he said. Manoj Kumar Paswan, the general secretary of the

movement, complained that the government, the mechanism and the meter-baggers saw their moderation as a weakness. 'They are inciting us to be violent again and again,' he said, 'they are oppressing us.' Awadhesh Kushwaha, the president of the

movement, accused the meter-buyers of obstructing the justice process by influencing the police, the administration and the government. 'Meterbaggers have a lot of money, but the victims don't have it,' he said. Ramrizhan Yadav, the leader of the

movement, argued that all the current parties and their leaders are meter-busters and that is why this problem has become complicated. "All the parties are greedy," he said, "but this does not work much, let them learn from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh."
