The Rajviraj-Chinnamasta road leading to the holy pilgrimage site Chinnamasta Bhagwati Temple and the road from the border to the temple where Indian pilgrims come to visit are in shambles. In the past, a contract has been awarded for the construction of the road, but when the construction company does not work according to the contract, the common people and pilgrims are forced to leave.
As Dashain approaches, the traffic of devotees increases on the road connecting Chinnamasta from both sides of Nepal and India. But if the road is not built, it is seen that the pilgrims will be affected.
Hundreds of devotees come daily from Nepal and India to Chinnamasta Shaktipeeth. Lakhs of devotees come here on the ten days of Dashain. Rajviraj - Chinnamasta - Nyor border road now has huge potholes at different places. When the road is bumpy, there is a problem in traffic.
Due to the bad condition of the road, there has been a decrease in the number of pilgrims reaching Chinnamasta Bhagwati Temple, said Bhuwan Thakur, the temple priest. Road Division Office Lahan had signed a contract with Shah Engineering Pvt Ltd on 23rd June 2017 for the construction of this road for a period of two years. Of which the agreed amount is 25 crore 88 lakh two thousand rupees . According to the
agreement, the construction company has to complete the construction of this road by June 30, 2081. But so far only 13.33 percent work has been done according to Road Division Office.
Chairman of Chinnamasta Rural Municipality Vidyanand Chaudhary said that the road was not built due to the negligence of the construction company and there was a problem in traffic. According to him, the people's representatives from the rural municipality not only met the road division and contractors, but also met the minister and the prime minister and drew their attention to build the road. But He complains that the construction company is not working.
President Chaudhary said that the road was blocked for two hours on Wednesday under the leadership of the people's representatives after the road was not built even after giving up.
