Madhesh Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has expanded the cabinet. Chief Minister Singh expanded the cabinet by adding 2 ministers from the Nepali Congress, 1/1 state minister from CPN-UML, Janmaat Party and LOSPA. Newly appointed state ministers have taken oath.
Muhammad Zaid Alam of UML was sworn in as Minister of State for Physical Infrastructure Development, Rambabu Yadav of LOSPA as Minister of State for Education and Culture and Shambhu Kumar Sah of Janmat as Minister of State for Industry, Commerce and Tourism. On behalf of the Congress, Rekha Thakur was sworn in as Minister of State for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives and Neelam Kumari Rajak as Minister of State for Power, Irrigation and Drinking Water.
After the addition of 5 state ministers in Madhesh, a 20-member cabinet has been formed. Earlier, there were only 12 ministers and 3 state ministers including the Chief Minister.
