"10 more cooperatives of Birgunj are in trouble"

Cooperative and employment promotion branch under Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality Economic Division has informed that not only small steps but more 10 cooperative organizations of Birgunj are in trouble.

According to Engineer Sunil Karn, head of the division, after a small step absconded with a large sum of money from the savers, such a situation was found after increasing the vigilance on other cooperatives in the district. According to Karna, out of the 135 crore rupees collected by Sano Paila from Birgunj, about 93 crore rupees were given as loans to 75 people outside Birgunj.

Karna said that the committee was also informed that the first action process started from Birganj to the cooperative of GB Rai group. "Sanopayla was declared problematic on August 4, 2080, after which a letter was sent to the Central Investigation Bureau of Police, Maharajganj for investigation," he said, "We also wrote to Nepal Rashtra Bank Bank Tangal to freeze the accounts of the directors and managers of the cooperative. ;.'

He also said that the Federal Land Management, Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation Ministry was requested to freeze the land in their name. "It is after this that the CIB has given the responsibility of the Parsa police to start an investigation on Sano Paila," said Karn.
