Jhapa's progressive writer and critic Punya Kharel passed away. The 63-year-old died in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning.
According to a family source, Kharel, a resident of Virtamod Municipality-5, a deputy professor of Mechi Multipurpose Campus, died of a heart attack.
A critical work by Kharel is published . A scholar of language and literature, he went to Kathmandu for treatment a week ago after suffering from a heart problem. He passed away in Kathmandu.
