A state-of-the-art auditorium is going to be built within the Itahari sub-metropolitan city of Sunsari with a budget of more than 21 crores.
Itahari sub-metropolitan chief Hemkarn Paudel laid the foundation stone of the auditorium on Tuesday. "I had mentioned in the election manifesto that I would build an orderly hall in Itahari", Paudel said after the foundation stone laying, "I am on a campaign to fulfill the promise I made in the election."
There is no organized auditorium in Itahari yet. Because of this, the city is forced to rent a hall to hold its annual program. "That's why Itahari sub-metropolitan has started the construction of an auditorium as a dream project by addressing the demands of all areas", Poudel said.
Bhagwati J&JV Company, located in Damak, Jhapa, has got the contract for the construction of the auditorium. According to the sub-metropolis, a contract has been signed with the construction company for 20 million 95 million 95 thousand rupees.
The auditorium will be built on the land of 17 thousand 803 square feet area of Kavyawatika located in sub-metropolitan city-5. The hall with a capacity of 500 spectators will have three floors.
