For the treatment of 16-year-old Vipasa Khabas of Fidim municipality-4, Nepalis in different countries including the UK have donated 2 lakh 19 thousand rupees in cash. Vipasa, who is suffering from blood cancer, is being treated at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
Suk Lingden and Sunu Tumwapo Gurung who live in Britain and 2 lakh 14 thousand rupees and 5 thousand rupees by Nivan Tumbapo who lives in Sudan and 2 lakh 19 thousand rupees were handed over to the patient's mother Sita Khabas on Sunday. Sunu Tumwapo Gurung And Suk Lingden collected 214,000 rupees by shaking hands with 27 Nepalis who came to Britain from various districts of Nepal.
The money was handed over to the patient's mother by Upendra Lavati, the ward president of Fidim-4 and social worker Dilkumari Tumbapo. 16 thousand 665 sent by Suraksha Thulung, who is currently in Qatar, was made available to Ranitar House of Fidim Municipality-7 on Sunday. Citizens of the district have launched a campaign to collect funds for the treatment of Khabas, a member of a poor family.
