Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality has implemented a new local curriculum. The curriculum prepared during the previous local government has been modified and a new curriculum has been implemented from this academic session.

Suwashchandra Rai of Education, Youth and Sports Branch of Majhuwagadhi Municipality, Diktel Roopakot, said that although the local curriculum was prepared and started from 2078, the curriculum was incomplete and a new curriculum was implemented from the current academic session by modifying it.

'The previously prepared curriculum contained the same content within the municipality,' Rai said, 'The municipality has different languages, cultures, natural resources, and heritage, so the curriculum has been modified accordingly.' According to the decision and instructions of the city executive and the city education committee, on 20-21 Baisakh 2081, with the participation of curriculum-related experts, principals, teachers teaching the local curriculum, the first workshop on curriculum was organized and then again on June 27-28 by determining different areas based on geography, language, and culture. Rai said that the curriculum development committee was formed.

'Rupakot Baikhari' coordinated by Shivahari Dhakal, 'Mudhe-Nunthala' coordinated by Bam Bahadur Rai, 'Our Majhuwa' coordinated by Laxmi Prasad Khanal, 'Our Sapsu Mala' coordinated by Bhavkrishna Dhakal, 'Our Patheka' coordinated by Prem Bahadur Bhattarai, 'Our Patheka' coordinated by Prakash Rai Kharmi', 'Jalpa Chinari' under the coordination of Pratiman Rai and Lalitkumar Rai's curriculum development committee prepared and implemented the local curriculum, Rai said.

The curriculum has been implemented in 58 basic level schools operating classes 1-5 within the municipal area. There are 4,827 students in 58 public schools with classes 1-5. There are 21 secondary, 14 basic level community schools operating in the municipality.
