The police have arrested 4 people including three Bhutanese refugees on the charge of slaughtering cows in Jhapa.
According to the District Police Office, four people have been arrested for stealing and slaughtering a pregnant cow raised by Lakshman Bista of Damak Municipality-2.
Police Damak municipality ward no. 2 Bhutanese refugee camp in Beldangi camp no. 2 Print No. 332 44-year-old Prem Bahadur Bisht, Damak Municipality Ward No. 3 Bhutanese refugee camp in Beldangi camp no. 3 Print No. A3-208 38-year-old Khagendra Dulal, of the same camp Print Number Vidhan Thapa, 32, living at A3-120 and Damak Municipality Ward No. 45-year-old Gita Shrestha was arrested.
According to the police, domestic weapons have also been recovered from them. The police said that the four accused will be prosecuted for the crime related to cow slaughter.
