Incessant rain blocked most of the roads in Khotang

Most of the roads in the district have been blocked due to incessant rain. Rural roads including Madhyapahari Lokmarg and Sagarmatha Lokmarg were blocked from Thursday morning.
The road has been blocked due to landslides at different places of Madhyapahari Lokmarg. Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-2 Bhalukhola of Solma, Barkhetar of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-7 Mahadevasthan and other places have been blocked due to landslides. Out of this, the road department's dozers are avoiding the Bhalukhola landslide, said Police Inspector Benu Karki, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Khotang.
The rain has damaged a petrol pump at Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-3 Bamrang. Karki said that the leado entered the place where the petrol tank was kept and buried the tank. Due to the blockage of the Kholsi sewer between Diktel and Bamrang, the Diktel market has been flooded. Karki told that various places of the district have been damaged due to the incessant rain since Wednesday.
Headquarter Diktel-Panchami, Diktel-Kharmi, Diktel-Patheka, Diktel-Baxila, Diktel-Aiselukhark and other rural roads have been blocked. The Sagarmatha Lokmarg (Diktel-Gaighat) road has also been blocked.
Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality declared a holiday on Thursday in public schools within the municipal area due to incessant rain.
