This year, like Bhawani and Sanjay, 18 citizens from Panchthar district, who have reached different countries, have filed a complaint of fraud. With the help of the Sami program, 7 people have received compensation and the remaining 11 are in the process.

Program coordinator Kshomaya Tamang said that 2 people who were stranded in different countries were brought back home in coordination with the embassy of the respective country. This year alone, 23 people from the district who are going to go abroad after making passports have been sent to the skill development center and given training such as setting, carpenter, garment, scarf holder and house keeping . Through the Sami program, citizens who have gone to work abroad and their family members are supported in five categories including skilled population, access to justice, financial literacy and psychosocial counseling.

provides 21 weeks of financial literacy training to family members who have gone abroad to change their habits with social costs, to develop saving habits, to use savings in productive work and to be thrifty from an economic point of view. Those who have taken 21 weeks of financial literacy training on different dates have also been given training to connect them to business .

Information about the method to be adopted for safe foreign employment is provided through the consultant at the district administration office. This year alone, 1,604 people from Phidim, Phalelung, Falgunand Rural Municipality have been given financial literacy and 316 people have been given psychosocial counseling. Through the

program, 16 women from the families who went to work abroad from Fidim Municipality were trained to make Dhaka cloth and Silam Sakma . Dhaka weaving looms were also made available through the program at 50 percent cost sharing to the participants. Today, the women who participated in the training are busy producing Dhaka material from house to house. Kaushalya Magar, one of the participants, said that

inspired them to become independent by earning income along with skill development. 400 family members who went to foreign employment from Panchthar have taken 21 weeks of financial literacy training. In the training, the knowledge and skills of how to save and increase the money sent from abroad, how to manage the accounting system and how to be frugal financially to the family members who are employed abroad have been transferred . Another participant Sapna Limbu's comment which proved to be very useful from a practical point of view .

Sami is a program run with the support of the Swiss government . Which plays a role in facilitating the issue of foreign employment by working hand in hand with the federal, state and local government . Sami is operating at 156 local levels in 38 districts. Through the Sami program, scholarships are being provided to the children of citizens who died abroad within the period of employment after taking labor approval.
