Koshi Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki inaugurated the 17-km black-paved road connecting Sidhuwa-Shukrabare in Dhankuta with the investment of the Koshi State Government. The road was constructed by the state government at a cost of 899 million rupees. It is hoped that after the construction of the road, it will help in the promotion of agriculture and tourism in Dhankuta and Tehrathum.

The goal of the state government is to connect the road starting from Sidhuwa in Dhankuta to Thirathum headquarter Myanglung in the near future.

Chief Minister Karki claimed that the construction of the road will help the promotion of the local market and the development of tourism. Karki asserted that this road will prove to be important in stopping mountain migration and developing agriculture and tourism.
