The International Children's Literature Conference to be organized in Nepal has attracted the attention of the country, foreign languages, literature lovers and those involved in child upliftment. An international level conference was never held in Nepal before. It is said that the conference will be organized under the joint principles of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Nature Conservation Fund, Asian Development Bank, etc.

In order to increase the dignity and attractiveness of the program, it has been decided to put children's literature books, artistic objects, paintings filled with artworks in the conference. If we look at the past, Nepal's education policy does not give much importance to seminars and conferences for the upliftment of the language. It does not seem that there is a concrete program to refine Nepali and other mother tongues.

Especially when Nepali language is made compulsory in schools all over the country, teachers, students and parents ignore it, and its effect has been seen in SEE. Most of the students who took the exam from private schools barely passed in Nepali, while the number of those who failed is impossible to count.

Meanwhile, due to the growing distaste for the language, the attraction of students and parents in government and public schools where English is the medium of learning and communication is also found to be in English. Recently, there have been news that the number of students has increased rapidly in schools where Korean, Japanese and other languages are taught. In other words, it can be said that language, literature, customs, culture, originality are fleeing and the identity of the country is shaking. Everyone, from children to the elderly, has an important role to play in guiding the society surrounded by this dire situation.

First of all, the government should implement a propaganda program to raise linguistic and literary awareness in everyone and an education policy that allows students of all levels to participate in literary activities. Especially considering the fact that such children's literature conferences increase the interest in language and widen the ideological ground, it seems necessary to continue with new and effective programs.
