Is there one rule and behavior for leaders and another for people in cooperative fraud? Why was Congress vice president Dhanraj Gurung and UML leader Rishikesh Pokharel's wife Anjala Koirala treated differently? When the victims filed a complaint with their names, the state government wrote to the police removing their names. Who did the job of removing their names from the complaint? By whose direction was this done?
The Parliamentary Inquiry Committee formed under the leadership of Surya Thapa should investigate further and recommend strict action against the removal of the name. Laws and rules of the state should be the same for everyone. Now they are trying to save the ruling leaders. Those in power cannot even show prejudice to the leader of the opposition party. In a case of the same nature, should police investigate Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of RSVP, form an inquiry committee and not do it against Dhanraj Gurung and Anjala Koirala? What kind of unequal treatment is the government?
Similarly, the tendency to use divorce as a means of fraud seems to be increasing. First of all, it is necessary to discourage the act of making a fake divorce to avoid the law by earning a large amount of property by cheating and naming that property in the name of the wife. Otherwise fraud and corrupt practices will not stop. Such fake work was done mostly by the employees and leaders, but now it has shifted to the cooperative operators. From what source the wealth came in the name of wife and relatives, the entire property should be confiscated after investigation.
