The mirror shown by Manange to see the face of leadership

As easily as he himself can reach the position, he can also leave it easily. Manange, who has been in controversy due to his background, expression and behavior, not only gave up his post as a minister on Monday, but also got a good 'value' for anyone doing business

Claimed to make minister for 6 months. That 'value' is not a recognition as our leaders say in public, but an economic transaction as practiced by our politics. It is clear from the fact that he said 'I will sell the position of minister' - he also bought it. Regardless of Manange's personal background, it cannot be disputed that his assessment of Nepal's politics is the bitter truth. He has only exposed the open and secret practice of making ministers in the provinces. The top leaders were shown a mirror to see their faces. It is certainly unfortunate that Manange is showing a mirror. However, if the leaders reflect on themselves, their party and politics as a whole, the trend can be a starting point for improvement.

Be it in the federal (erstwhile central) government or in the state governments of recent years, the issue of appointing a controversial person as a minister has become common. 2052-056 also had the same distortion. People can easily assess why someone became a minister. People with various charges and criminal background have been removed from the top leader's seat and given the minister's chair.

Let's look at some recent examples. Badshah Kurmi, accused of abducting and murdering single woman Nirmala Kurmi of Nepalgunj, has been made a minister in Lumbini. Another minister of the same state, Saroj Thapa, aka Rose Rana, is from a gangster background. Meenkrishna Maharjan, who was made a minister in Wagmati, has no different background. Today, as soon as the ministers of the state are mentioned, the image of these or similar characters is remembered and criticized. As a result, some positive works of many so-called good people have not been adequately evaluated. And, this trend is not only in the state, but in the union itself. It is more relevant to say that the tendency of the Sangh itself has extended to the provinces.

In the seven years since the federal system started, all the states have mastered the game of government formation and dissolution. Moreover, the main identity of the province is the change of government. However, its creation is due to the change of coalition in the formation of the federal government. These holistic practices seem to suspend political ethics and rational systems. The originator of this situation is none other than the party leaders who are called supporters of the constitution and federalism. This system has to bear the burden of injustice promoted by them to fulfill their party and personal interests. In order to end this situation, a conscious and genuine debate is expected within the parties called system supporters. Because, no one else will come to clean up the distortions created by the parties themselves.

The need of the moment is that the administrators and stakeholders of the federal government, who have the power to make a good or bad system the daily life of the country, need to seriously consider the questions raised on the system due to their behavior. If only Lok Laj is taken into account while distributing tickets of MPs and selecting ministers, many criticisms will automatically reduce. For that, it is indispensable for the parties to make the decision-making system transparent and democratic. It is important to correct your controversial decisions by taking into account public feedback. If this system is strengthened and the people's expectations are fulfilled, the parties are the ones who will get the power. It is also inevitable that such vagaries will continue.
