The police are strictly monitoring the people and groups who provoke by giving anti-constitutional inflammatory expressions. More than 3,000 security personnel have been deployed in Kathmandu Valley to monitor those involved in activities that disrupt peace and security using social media, YouTube, etc.
In order to prevent 'unwanted activities' on Constitution Day and National Day, Kathmandu Valley Police Office and District Administration Office have established a command center in Kathmandu.
Policemen in plain clothes have been deployed with GoPro cameras to monitor those who incite people in the name of opposing the constitution. At least 60 policemen in Kathmandu, 13 in Lalitpur and 10 in Bhaktapur have been deployed in plain clothes with GoPro cameras, said IG Kiran Bajracharya, head of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office.
'Necessary security personnel have been deployed in the field to monitor individuals and groups who disrupt law enforcement by using media such as social media and YouTube to disrupt peace and security. Those who obstruct the celebration of Constitution Day and National Day are under surveillance, she said. The police have also informed that strict surveillance has been done at all the checkpoints entering Kathmandu Valley.
