Nepali Congress General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the minimum common program of the government has been prepared by emphasizing the issues of making the economy sustainable and advancing the program of youth partnership.

Chief Minister Thapa gave this information after the four-member working group formed to prepare the draft of the minimum common program of the government presented the draft of the program to the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Singh Darbar on Wednesday.

He said that the draft has been submitted to the Prime Minister and it will be made public after the Cabinet approves it. He said that the program was made based on the seven-point agreement between the Congress and the UML when the government was formed. "This is not a common program, but a common resolution and policy commitment of two political parties," he said, "It has been prepared by including the priorities of their respective parties, relations with neighboring countries."

Chief Minister Thapa said that since Congress and UML are the main power to make the constitution, they also have the biggest responsibility to protect the constitution. He said that the amendment to strengthen the constitution is also in the program. He said that it has been mentioned that changes will be made after an objective review of our experience in order to strengthen the federalism, democracy, republic, inclusive system.

He said, 'In this situation where two political parties have formed the government, the policies and programs of the government have been passed by the parliament. The budget has also been prepared. We have also taken care of its limitations. Staying within this limitation, we have basically made the commitment expressed in the agreement reached between Congress and UML on seven points. We have called it policy commitment. This is not a joint program like before. This is the common resolution and policy commitment of the two parties. We have included the relations with neighboring countries, the priorities of our respective parties here.'

General Minister Thapa said that fundamental rights and gender equality, eliminating poverty are also included in the program. We have also advanced the youth partnership program. There is a partnership with the youth in employment and entrepreneurship. We have emphasized on minimizing the impact of climate change. We have insisted on investigating any scandals,' he said.

He said that emphasis has been placed on making the economy more dynamic, speeding up construction of stalled infrastructure and fundamental rights and gender equality, eliminating poverty and finalizing the remaining issues of transitional justice.
