First National Meeting of RSVP: 'They tried to make negative comments about the party'

Ravi Lamichhane, president of RSVP, while inaugurating the two-day meeting at Pragya Bhawan Kamaladi, claimed that they were trying to create negative comments about the future of the party. He expressed his belief that the meeting will direct the party to strengthen.

"They never had a break when they were plotting to get to power. A leader is busy from 6 am to 12 pm only to plot. That's why the country couldn't move forward," he said. "If we get entangled in internal fights like that, that's where we will be. We have not come to be another UML, another Congress, another Maoist, another socialist. We have come to be a beloved RSVP for all.'

He thanked Mukul Dhakal, the general minister of the founding period of the party, without naming him. Lamichhane said that he has taken the RSWP forward and welcomes those who come and thanks those who leave. On the first day of the meeting, party vice-chairman Swarnim Wagle submitted a brief report on 'policy-ideas'. Acting General Minister Kavindra Burlakoti submitted the proposal to amend the party's constitution. In the legislative amendment proposal, it is mentioned that 3/3 deputy chairmen and co-general ministers should be appointed, including one woman each. The proposal to directly elect all office bearers except the treasurer and spokesperson has also been moved forward. Party Treasurer Lima Adhikari and Head of Accounts Commission Abhishek Ghimire submitted the financial report. Reports have also been submitted on behalf of the state committee of the

party. Speaker Rajesh Timalsina of Koshi, Tapeshwar Yadav of Madhes, Achyutam Lamichhane of Wagmati, Rajan Gautam of Gandaki, Devraj Pathak of Lumbini, Madan Khadka of Karnali and Prakash Bishta of Sudurpaschim gave suggestions about the party's ideas, organization, working style and policies to be adopted by the party on issues of public concern. A group discussion on the proposals presented at the
