On the occasion of National Education Day, Shri Mavi Tulsipur Center in Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city of Dang has won the first prize with 3 lakh cash. According to the Ministry of Education, the school was the first in the country based on the results obtained in the 2080 secondary education examination.

Biswaniketan Mavi, located in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has received the second prize with two lakhs. Dang's Jankalyan Mavi Shantinagar has become the third. 1 lakh cash prize has been awarded to the said school.

According to the Ministry of Education, among private schools, Fallo Mavi of Kathmandu Tokha was first, Wijeshwari Gyan Mandir Sainik Vidyalaya Kathmandu 15 was second and Budhanilkanth School was third. They also got 3, 2 and 1 lakh cash prizes respectively. Education Day is being celebrated in Kathmandu on Wednesday in the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Ministry spokesperson Kamal Pokharlel said that Prime Minister Oli will give awards to the best schools. Based on the evaluation done by the University Grants Commission, Shree School of Business under Pokhara University has been deemed the best among Kaski Angik campuses. According to the Ministry of Education, the campus received two and a half lakh cash prizes. Among the affiliated community campuses, Chapagaon's Janbhavana Campus in Lalitpur has been the best.

The campus under Tribhuvan University has also received an award of 2.5 lakhs. On the private side, Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences Soltibot of Trivia has been awarded as the best at the national level.

In terms of technical schools, Nepal Banepa Multi-Technical School Kavre, Tulsipur Polytechnic Institute Dang, Janata Secondary School Kapilvastu and Nepal Army College of Health Sciences Kathmandu were the best. They have each received 1/1 lakh prize. Social welfare award of two lakhs to Mr. Youth Activities Utthan Kendra Kageshwari Manohara Kathmandu and Mr. C. Asha Foundation Lalitpur has been awarded to the ministry, the ministry said. The organization has been awarded with 2/2 lakh in cash for providing education along with fostering to street children, HIV-AIDS infected, poor, orphans, disabled helpless children.

25 teachers and staff of Tribhuvan University, Sanskrit, Kathmandu, Pokhara, Purvanchal, Sudurpaschim, Midpaschim University have been awarded for their significant contribution in the field of education. According to the Ministry of Education, 5 trainers of technical schools were also awarded. Teachers of public and private schools have also been awarded. Officers of the school staff management committee, child development facilitator teachers have also been awarded.

According to the Ministry, 264 people have been decorated with Nepal Vidya Bhushan Padak A, 35 people from Vidya Bhushan Padak B and 21 people from C on the occasion of the Day. Medals and certificates will be distributed to them later. Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education Ram Prasad Sharma said that 15 people have been awarded the Nepal Student Medal. Student medals have been distributed to female students who have achieved excellent results in examinations of various levels and subjects.
