After 10 years, the government will not be able to give old age allowance: Health Minister Paudel

Minister Poudel said that more emphasis should be placed on preventing people from getting sick. He said that now society seems to be waiting for people to get sick and talk about its facilities.

Minister Paudel mentioned that something is happening in the treatment method and interest has also increased. He said that no one showed interest in preventive method. He claimed that if it continues in the same way, the number of people over 50 will increase in Nepal within the next 20 years. He said that although food is the main topic of health, it cannot be linked with health.

He said, It seems like we are waiting for someone to get sick and talk about the facilities. Something is happening in the therapeutic method, the interest is also a little higher. But has anything been done in the preventive method till date? In the same way, the number of people above 50 years in Nepal is more than 20 years. It cannot be active, it cannot be healthy. Now how many friends tell me not to say such things, after 10 years the state will not be able to give old age allowance. Therefore, we need to do something to prevent people from getting sick.'

Minister Paudel said that food is the main topic of health and that he could not connect it with health. 'Why did you get cancer, why did you have kidney problems? What are we eating, how is our food habit? How is the food? How much are we eating? Are we eating too much or too little? Eating too little is a problem, eating too much is also a problem,' he said.

Minister Paudel said that hospitals need to expand health awareness. He said that there is no research on anything in the country and that there is no research in the study institutes.
