While the Parliamentary Inquiry Special Committee on Cooperative Fraud is preparing a report on the co-operative fraud involving National Independent Party Chairman Ravi Lamichhane, Congress Vice President Dhanraj Gurung has also been implicated in the misappropriation of about 140 million rupees from Lalitpur's Miteri Savings and Credit Cooperative Society along with his then wife.
After receiving a complaint from the director of the cooperative organization, the parliamentary inquiry special committee conducted an on-site study of the cooperative. The committee is going to send a letter to the state agency to investigate him too.
This issue is also serious, especially the purpose of divorce between Dhanraj and his wife has also been questioned.
