CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that the next three years will be important from the point of view of land rights. Addressing the foundation day and the first Central Council meeting of the Land Rights and Labor Organization, Nepal's Foundation Day and the First Central Council meeting at the UML party office in Chasal, Lalitpur on Monday, he said that the government is committed to solving the problems related to land rights and has taken the work forward.

Mentioning that UML is clear that the land problem should be solved, General Secretary Pokharel said that the government will soon solve the problem by forming a land commission.

He said that in the past, when UML tried to solve land-related problems, legal complications were created and it was a bitter experience that the court stopped the work. General Secretary Pokharel said that the Land Commission should be formed to solve the problem of land rights once and for all, since the Commission to be formed will be the last one, no one will be deprived of the landless and squatters.

He asked all the landless, sukumvasi to join the process. Secretary General Pokharel mentioned that there is an attempt to encircle the government made up of two major parties to prevent them from working and warned that there may be activities that have an impact on the issue of land rights.

President of Land Rights and Labor Organization Shanta Chaudhary expressed confidence that the current government will solve the land problem.
