The Council of Ministers has approved the eight-point proposal on personnel management submitted by the Ministry of Health and Population. With the approval of the proposal, the problems related to the management of health sector employees at the federal, provincial and local levels will be resolved.
According to Section 28 of the Staff Adjustment Act 2075, Health Minister Pradeep Paudel took an eight-point proposal to the Cabinet to make healthcare management more effective. By passing the resolution, the Cabinet has given permission to proceed with the adjustment process of health workers working at the union, state and local levels.
The health workers who are on probation, those who have been adjusted to the level without posts and those who have been adjusted more than the posts are going to be adjusted to the vacant posts of the respective provinces or local levels within this financial year. The Ministry of Health and Population will issue an adjustment letter in the case of health workers who have been adjusted at the provincial and local levels but the letter is yet to be issued at that time.
Physicians who have been adjusted to the union and the health workers who have been adjusted to the pool of the union on the recommendation of the medical board will also be given priority and will be managed in the vacant posts.
