The National Assembly has approved the amendment made by the House of Representatives regarding the Nepal University Bill, 2079. In the meeting of the National Assembly on Sunday, the proposal presented by the Minister of Education, Science and Technology Vidya Bhattarai, that the amendment made by the House of Representatives should be agreed to regarding the Nepal University Bill, 2079, which came back with amendments from the House of Representatives, was approved unanimously.

Before that, the amendment made by the House of Representatives regarding the bill was discussed in the meeting. The bill was passed by the House of Representatives with amendments on August 24, and the bill registered on November 20, 2079 was passed by the National Assembly on June 18.

The government considered it necessary to establish and operate a public university in the non-government sector to produce skilled, creative, entrepreneurial and competitive human resources and submitted the bill to the federal parliament. It is mentioned in the bill that the institution is going to be established as a non-governmental sector university that does not distribute profits to produce skilled, creative and competitive human resources through multidisciplinary quality studies, teaching and research based on the interdisciplinary concept (liberal arts).

Before that, in the meeting, Secretary of the National Assembly Surendra Aryal had informed about the message received from there regarding the 'Public Service Broadcasting Bill, 2077' which was passed by the National Assembly and sent to the House of Representatives with a message. In the

meeting, Chairman of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee Kamala Pant presented the 'Annual Report of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee for the year 2080/81' and Chairman of the Federalization and National Concerns Committee Sonam Gelzen Sherpa presented the 'Financial Year 2080 of the Federalism and National Concerns Committee'. Submitted the annual report of 81.

Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal informed about the letter received from the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers regarding the appointment of the members of the Cabinet. The next meeting of the National Assembly will be held on August 31 at 1:15 pm.
