The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has started an investigation into the irregularity of funds in Miteri Savings and Credit Cooperatives.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) spokesman and Superintendent of Police Hovindra Bogti informed that the investigation was started after receiving a complaint about the irregularity of funds in the organization.
He said, 'After we received a complaint about the misappropriation of funds in the said organization, we have now started an investigation mainly on the employees and the board of directors of the cooperative.'
Kumbharaj Gurung, the chairman of the cooperative, registered a complaint in the office of the cooperative registrar last July, saying that Jyoti Gurung had cheated 125 million when he was the general manager of the cooperative.
