After the sugar of the diabetic passenger on board the ship suddenly became uncomfortable, the ship which was about to fly to Delhi returned to the parking-way on Friday.
According to Tribhuvan International Airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa, Vistara's flight number 'UK-158', which was scheduled to return to Delhi at 11:30, reached the take-off point of the narrowbody runway and returned to the parking way.
After a female passenger who was on board a 161-passenger flight to Delhi reported that she was in trouble due to diabetes, the crew decided to disembark in Kathmandu as the diverting to the international airport would be a challenge.
Sherpa, who is also the director of the airport, said that the passengers were taken off the plane and sent to the Kathmandu Medical College in Sinamangal.
Vistara has flown to Delhi after dropping the patient on the parking way, Sherpa said. This is the first flight on Friday of Vistara, which operates two daily flights between Delhi and Kathmandu.
