The election of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists has been postponed again. Even though the Central General Assembly has been completed, due to the dispute in the voter list, the election of the federation has not been held.
Amidst the confusion after the resignation of President Vipul Pokharel, the federation has proposed a new date for the election. Acting President Ramesh Bisht said that a letter has been sent to the Election Committee to bring a new schedule to hold the election on 12 October.
'Last time, when the date for the election of the same level had been announced on the 5th of October 2081, an uncomfortable situation has arisen after the chairman Vipul Pokhrel resigned citing various reasons . A forced situation has been created to hold the election by changing the announced date of the election,' Acting President Bista said in a statement on Friday.
According to him, the electoral roll has also been handed over to the election committee on Friday.
